One day's weight tells you nothing
Scales move with water, salt and the hour you stepped on them. Foodia keeps every entry and shows it as a curve, which is where you can actually see whether something is happening.

Eight measurements, not just the scales
Beyond weight you can log waist, hips, chest, arm, thigh, neck and your body fat percentage. They earn their keep when the scales won't move but your clothes fit differently: some changes in composition never show up in weight alone.
Log it and forget it
Entry is manual on purpose: you decide when you weigh yourself and how often.
- 1
Record the number
Weight, one measurement, or as many as you like. No need to fill them all in, or to do it on the same day every time.
- 2
Read it as a curve
Every entry joins the trend chart. A high day stops looking like a problem once you can see the whole line.
- 3
Share it if you want
Your nutritionist sees the same data if you granted access, and can record the measurements they take in consultation.
What you can log
All of it is optional. Foodia doesn't require any of it to work: if you only want to track weight, track weight and leave it at that.
- Body weight, with its trend chart.
- Waist, hips, chest, arm, thigh and neck.
- Body fat percentage, if you measure it.
- All of it exportable from Profile → Export my data.
How we treat this data
Weight and measurements are health data and we treat them as such: they live in your account, encrypted in transit, and only whoever you authorise can see them. They're never sold or used for advertising.
- They work offline: checking your history needs no connection.
- A nutritionist only sees them if you accepted their invitation, and every access is logged.
- You can cut that access whenever you like from Profile → My nutritionists.
Questions about weight and measurements
How often should I weigh myself?
Foodia doesn't dictate that. Daily weighing gives a finer but noisier curve; once a week, at the same time and under the same conditions, is usually enough to see the trend.
Does Foodia write my weight to the Health app?
No. Health syncing covers calories, macronutrients and water. Weight and measurements stay inside Foodia.
Do I have to log every measurement?
None of them is required. You can track just weight, just your waist, or all eight. The ones you leave blank simply don't appear.
Can my nutritionist log them for me?
Yes, if you granted access. They record the measurements taken in consultation from the portal, and you see them on your iPhone at the next sync.
