Your day, without opening the app

Foodia's widget puts the calories and macros you've logged on your home screen, your lock screen and StandBy. One glance and you know where you stand.

Checking your progress shouldn't take three taps

Keeping a log only sticks if checking it is instant. Unlock, find the app, wait for it to load, then back out — that's enough friction to stop you looking. The widget removes the trip: the number sits where you already look dozens of times a day.

Setting it up takes under a minute

It's an ordinary iOS widget, so it goes on like any other.

Where you can put it

Foodia offers widgets for all three places iOS allows, and the water one lets you log a glass with a single tap without ever entering the app.

  • Home screen, alongside the rest of your apps.
  • Lock screen, so you can see it without unlocking the phone.
  • StandBy, for when the iPhone charges on its side.
  • Log water straight from the widget, in one tap.

How it stays current

The widget updates when you open Foodia. iOS decides when to refresh widgets to protect battery life, so if the figures look stale, open the app for a moment and go back to the home screen: it catches up right away.

  • Needs an iPhone on a recent version of iOS.
  • No connection required to show what you've already logged.
  • Shows the same as the app would: the day's calories, macros and water.
